San Gregorio, Huehuetla an Otomi village in the Sierra Otomi – Tepehua of Hidalgo. Many Otomi women continue to wear traditional embroidered blouses. Here are both the treadle machine and hand embroidery used on the blouses. In this village In this village I also found a wool quechquemitl which is no longer used and was worn a few generations ago. I have included patterns from that quechquemitl in this gallery. Bob Freund 3/6/2007
