The photos presented here are a representation of the variety of textiles, costumes and styles worn in Mexico´s indigenous villages, towns and ranchos. The primary goal of the project is the presentation of actual day to day costumes in the context of the village. In some cases the persons pictured preferred to change into cleaner clothing, but the same type that they were wearing when I arrived in the village. In some cases there are differences in the way the women dress by generation. These differences are shown in the detailed photo galleries at this link http://www.mexicantextiles.com/newwebhome.html .
