San Nicolas is an Otomi Indian town which is a major embroidery town. Many women still wear traditional costume, consisting of an embroidered blouse, over blouse, apron, long skirt of commercial material and a back strap woven belt.

There are numerous women that still use a traditional costume in the village. It consist of an embroidered blouse, cotton print skirt and a slip with crochet on the bottom and a back strap woven belt. Also more crafts made in the village.
