San Antonio el Grande is a large Otomi town up hill from Huehuetla on a road that is under construction. The town is the gateway to all the Otomi towns in the district of Huehuetla, Hidalgo. The town is a commercial center for the region. Traditional costume is rapidly disappearing here and only the older generation continues to wear the embroidered blouse and colorful skirt.

There is a very active embroidery industry in the town with many women embroidering napkins, table cloths, tortilla cloths and other textiles for resale in local markets and in Huehuetla.
