Xalticpac, Xochitlan Puebla is a villages with a large handicrafts industry of both embroidery and beaded blouses, dresses and other crafts. There are also some incredible views.

On out way back to Xochitlan to have breakfast we stopped at a clinic right on the side of the road. There were many women waiting their turns to get medical service. The municipal authorities had radioed ahead and the town leader was there to help organize the photo shoot. Many times the women are worried that their dresses are dirty but the camera doesn’t seem to show it. The wonderful thing about group pictures like these is it is an opportunity to observe the different ways these garments are worn. The Canon S80 also allows me to crop pictures for the internet.
