Tzontecomata was the first town we visited, down and down across the bride over the Atenco River and then up to the town it is located at the limits of the Xochitlan district. The people here were very friendly and we were able to document a wide variety of costumes here. The street had been recently paved and again here the views were stunning. The man pictured here in traditional muslin costume made us wait while he went in his house and put on a long machete. You can also see in the gallery the use of the apron and the way the rebozo is used to carry things.
