Iczotitla is a small community right outside of Naupan. They entire village is dedicated to weaving baskets, canastas, fruit bowls, figures from a what looks to be bamboo , but isn’t. The family Dominquez sold me a basket and we spent some time talking about the economics of basket weaving. Her mother finished a basket while we talked. They use a (jonoté) tree bark to give the baskets an interesting and attractive look.
