This grandmother (nana in Nahuatl) is wearing the traditional costume from the region. The stripped belt and black wrap skirt with a simple cotton blouse with a rounded collar. Looking at this blouse I can see how the current blouse style evolved here in Mixtla. As we traveled out on this road and in about 100 yards it turned into dirt and rock.
