There are more than a few older women in the village that wear traditional dress. The “regidor” or registrar of the village brought me over to see his mother who weaves baskets and still wears traditional dress. The first time I went through the town I skipped it because in the other village they said no one wore traditional dress. However this trip, when I stopped to ask some young girls about the baskets, a grandmother came around the corner in a blouse very similar to this one. Sometimes I have a problem sticking to the purpose but once I saw that blouse on her I was determined to document the village.
