San Juan Tepulco is not in the valley of Tehuacan but is about 75 kilometers away. The dress here is an embroidered blouse covered by a over blouse, a skirt made from commercial material and a slip with a crocheted fringe on it and of course a reboso. The town is in the process of paving and modernizing but a large majority of the population still speaks Nahuatl.
