Teocayo, Chicontepec, Vera Cruz in this village the older women wear embroidered blouses or knit blouses. Many women also embroidered table cloths and other textile handicrafts.

This town was on the road to the sacred mountains and this couple was a relative of my guide Andres. The shot in the upper right is one of my favorites since it is not common that the men stand for a photo. The way she draped the reboso is district from the area further west of this region. The print cotton skirt and the apron are also common in this part of Chicontepec.

The men were constructing a building from a bamboo type material that seemed to be the main building material for homes and meeting halls.
