The percent of women wearing the traditional huipil was close to 50 percent including some young children. The roads were just starting to be fixed and there is a gully, which runs along the road leading into the town center.
These are typical flower designs used for both huipils and napkins; the skirt pictured here is from the collection, the three ruffles are standard with the machine embroidery high lights. The material is a synthetic cloth although I suspect there would also be cotton skirts. The skirt flows very nicely as the women walk.
