Cuetzalan is in the Sierra of Puebla you can get there via route 129, from Mexico City take the Autopista to Puebla, a little after Puebla you exit at Amozoc and heads towards Oriental. The road splits after about 100 kilometer take the turn off for Zaca

The town square, Cuetzalan is a pleasant town, with lots of tourist services. It has a strong indigenous character. Nearby there are ruins from the Toanaca’s although the area is now Nahua

Narrow cobblestone streets add to the character of the town, lots of stores to shop in.

Market day, here is an example of traditional men’s muslin suit. These are generally made by the wife at home.
